About this Project
Embarking on the Martz Hall Gymnasium Renovation, our team played a pivotal role in revitalizing the iconic and esteemed gymnasium at Pottsville Area High School. Often referred to as the “heaven of hardwood,” Martz Hall, constructed in 1970, stands as one of the most historic and distinctive venues nationwide. Renowned as the premier arena in Pennsylvania for basketball playoff games, the gymnasium boasts an unparalleled atmosphere and can accommodate over 4,000 spectators.
Martz Hall has hosted basketball legends, including Kobe Bryant, Sam Bowie, and Billy Owens, adding to its legacy. Beyond basketball, the venue has welcomed renowned figures such as the Harlem Globetrotters, Muhammad Ali, comedian Bob Hope, and country-western star Jerry Reed, making it a cultural hub for diverse entertainment. Our renovation work honors this storied history while ensuring Martz Hall continues to be a cherished and vibrant space for future generations.
